Description

Searches an LDAP data source and creates session objects of the result.

Parameter

Example

BASE DN:

The BASE DN where to start the search. Default value is the session object DN.

ou=internalusers,cn=company,dc=local

Force Data Source

Force data source. Leave blank to select the object data source.

AD

DN Attribute:

If not using the BASE DN parameter, select the attribute that contains the DN. Leave blank to use the object standard DN.

MatchDN

LDAP Filter:

Enter the LDAP filter to be used.

mail=SESSION(mail)

LDAP Search Scope:

SUB, ONE or BASE. Default value is SUB.

ONE

Get Attributes:

The attributes (comma separated) that should be fetched. Use | to give the attribute another name. For example: givenName,sn|lastname,title|mainTitlea

Replace Existing Session Objects (true/false):

If the original session objects should be replaced with the search result (true). If set to false, the original session objects will be kept. (true or false).
Default is false

Use Cases

Example 1: Search LDAP for employees

This action will get all user direct reporting to the current user as new session objects with their samaccountname and manager as session attributes
