PSD1055 – PIP and Microsoft’s generalized time-format

Fact

Identity Provisioning

Situation

How to set generalized timestamp to use .0Z instead of .Z using a global parameter for one or multiple datasource/s.

Note: The setting for LongTimeStamp will only be used for the initial LDAP query. The .0Z has to be handled in the policy when writing back to the LDAP directory.

Solution

Start Provisioning Configurator.exe, then go to Tools/Global Parameters.

Click add, select LongTimeStamp from the dropdown. Click the “open icon”, select DATASOURCE-LDAP and pick the datasource this setting should apply for.

Create Custom and add value LongTimeStamp-1 (up to LongTimeStamp-10), to add LongTimeStamp for additional datasources.
