PIP 5.0.0 released June 12th 2019

PhenixID Identity Provisioning (PIP) 5.0.0 update improves the stability, compatibility, and security of your solution, and is recommended for all installations.

Important note! Identity Provisioning 5.0.0 contains some major changes from previous versions, so it is really important to read the Update Guides before updating any current installation.

New features

1. Action Packages Location

From version 5.0.0 the action packages are no longer located in the internal database, instead they are located in the file system as .jar files. The Action Package Manager is now removed.

More information of how the action packages are handles can be found in PSD1128.

2. License support

From version 5.0.0, Identity Provisioning will only support the licenses in .p12 format.

3. TLS 1.2

LDAP connections will now have support for secure connection with TLS 1.2.

4. Update of Identity Provisioning

Update of the software and the bundled action packages (Standard Actions and Extended Actions) will now be handled by the installer.

New Actions

1. Action for Navet

A new action for parsing the information received from an XML export from Navet. Read more here.

2. Actions for Tieto Education

A new action package for fetching information from Tieto Education has been created. Read more here.

Misc

1. Java

Identity Provisioning is now tested and bundled with java 1.8.0_181 from Azule.

2. Bug fixes

2.1. A connection exception that could occur when fetching large amounts of attribute values from large amounts of objects in LDAP has been fixed.
