PSD1193 – Manage PIM Avatar

Overview

This PSD describes how to manage the avatar up in the right corner in PIM.

Configuration

Change display name

By default the login name will be displayed when you click the avatar. If you like to change it to, let say displayName instead, this can be done using a policy.

PROFILE_DISPLAY_TEMPLATE={displayName}

Remember to use the {}. If no displayName is available the login name will be used instead.

Hide/disable About

Some costumers does not like to display the data displayed in About. From version PIM 6.0.4 there is a policy to hide/disable About. Add the policy to the main DSEditor.properties or for a specific role and the About option will not be visible.
