This document explains how to add information to the attribute norEduPersonBirthDate used by Skolfederation.

System Requirement

PAS 2.7 or later installed
IDP configured and connected to Skolfederation
norEdupersonNIN attribute fetched in user store lookup valve

Information

The attribute norEduPersonBirthDate is a attribute that shows the birthdate of a person and not the entire personal identification number,

Instruction

Login to Configuration Manager
Navigate to Scenarios->Federation and then select the Skolfederationen IdP just created.
Click Execution flow
Add a new valve “PropertySubstringValve” before the AssertionProviderValve.

Source = {{item.norEduPersonNIN}}
Destination = norEduPersonBirthDate
Begin Index = 0
End Index = 8

The valve picks the 8 first characters norEduPersonNIN and puts the information in the norEduPersonBirthDate property.
