PSD1134 – Add IM as a service

Fact

  • PhenixID Identity Manager 4.8.2 or later

Situation

If you have installed Identity Manager and did NOT select “install as a service”. This PSD will teach you how to add a service manually.

Solution

Windows

Open services and very that there is no existing Windows service for “PhenixID Identity Manager”.

How to add IM service

  1. Open a command prompt as administrator
  2. Go to drive:\Program Files\PhenixID\IM\server\bin>
  3. Execute service.bat install
  4. Verify that “PhenixID Identity Manager” now exists as an service.
