Summary
When you finished the PhenixID Identity Manager (IM) installation there are a couple of things you might like to address to make sure your IM solution work optimal. This PSD will below address different things you should verify against your environment and installation.
This is best practice for both new and upgraded installation. Some tasks below will probably adress new installation and some upgraded installation better and some both.
System Requirements
- PhenixID Identity Manager 5.1.0 or later
1. Files and/or configuration that are not covered by the upgrade
This is only of interest if you have done an upgrade of Identity Manager. If you have done a clean installation, move on to next bullet.
Example of files, folders and configuration that are not covered in an upgrade are for example new, removed or changed policies in DSEditor.properties, addition of the lang-files, new or removed files or folders. Basically any change to the customer folder that is not touched during upgrade.
If you have installed IM 5.0 or later and discover that you have missed several upgrades then it might be easier to do a clean install and manually upgrade IM.
Changes for the different versions of IM are covered in PSD1118.
2. ADEdition
If you new to IM before and like to have some reference forms and roles to better understand the potential the ADEdition could be a good add on to do. If you have had IM for a long time and perhaps like to see what IM could offer ADEdition might show you some new solution that you can adopt to your environment.
ADEdition is created for an environment with Active Directory.
Please read PSD1097.
3. Adjust memory used by the Identity Manager service
The Identity Manager service shipped with the product will by default have a small amount of memory to use of the memory of the server. Depending of the amount memory of the server you would probably like to change the allocated memory for IM.
Please read PSD1048
4. Change log location
Please read PSD1105 to change log location.
5. SSL på Tomcat
Please read PSD1060 to change log location.
6. Windows Integrated Authentication
To add SSO to IM using Windows Integrated Authentication, please read PSD1079
