Overview
The idea of this document is to provide different use cases where PIM and PIP are used together. This document will be updated as new use cases are created. There is a version number in the form of the date last saved at the beginning of this document.
Use Cases
Overview how to integrate PIM with PIP
PIM is used to search and present data in an LDAP directory. All changes are sent to PIP. PIP will write all changes to LDAP directory.

Create User in LDAP/Google/Office365
Use PIM to select whether to create an Active Directory, Google or/and Office 365 account. Your choice will be sent to PIP that will create the account(s).
Create User with unique value
Use PIM to fill out data used to create an Active Directory user. Data will be send to PIP that will verify uniqueness of one attribute and also verify that the mandatory attributes in the PIM form have values.

IGA using PIM and PIP
IGA is a concept that in short make sure that two persons is used when you create, change or deactivate user accounts. This to prevent fraud. IGA also consists of certification of user accounts and request of access of resources.

Create Office 365 with an Home Directory
When creating Azure or Office 365 accounts or folders on Windows servers you need some form of scripts. Often Powershell is used for this. In this use case we have PIP use two different powershell scripts, one for Office 365 creation and one for creating home folders.

Different use cases in a School environment
This use case gives examples of how PIM can be used for a student, teacher or school-administrator.
Managing Partners and Consultants
This use case gives examples of how PIM can be used manage partner account to lower cost and increase efficiency.
Active Directory Edition
This edition is only uses PIM. PIP is not used.
